A graduate of the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and author of The Complete Start-to-Finish MBA Admissions Guide, Jeremy Shinewald is among the longest tenured professionals in business school admissions. Recognized as a longstanding expert in the industry, he is regularly contacted and quoted by such media outlets as the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, the New York Times, Poets&Quants, and U.S. News & World Report. Jeremy first began honing his writing and editorial skills as the sole speechwriter for the Ambassador of Israel to the United States, for whom he wrote dozens of policy addresses. As his speeches were being published in the Washington Post, Washington Times, and other major international publications, he was busy informally helping applicants gain acceptance to top-tier MBA programs. Jeremy was accepted at several leading domestic and international MBA programs himself and ultimately became one of the youngest members of his class at Darden, where he was an admissions interviewer, wrote a Business Ethics case, and was chosen by his peers to be Class Graduation Speaker.
Since formally establishing mbaMission, Jeremy has subsequently provided admissions consulting services to applicants from the United States and more than 30 other countries on six continents. He has also spoken on the MBA admissions process across his native Canada and the United States, as well as in the United Kingdom, Israel, Dubai, and Mexico, and has addressed candidates at leading firms from Google to Goldman Sachs to the Boston Consulting Group.
