Who We Are: The Full-Time mbaMission Team

Denise Potter

Denise Potter (She/Her)

Assistant Director of Marketing and Operations

I have been a passionate member of the mbaMission marketing, operations, and administrative teams since 2015.

On a full-time basis, I help develop and manage mbaMission’s event planning, social media, and content initiatives to ensure that a constant stream of dynamic, valuable information is available to all MBA applicants. I also oversee scheduling and customer service operations—so if you have reached out to our headquarters or contacted us via email, odds are, we have gotten to know each other already!

I love speaking one-on-one with prospective applicants and, as often as possible, helping to nudge them along on their application journey by way of mbaMission’s extensive trove of free resources, downloadable guides, videos, and featured content. For me, there is no greater sound on the other end of the line than the voice of a thrilled applicant who just got accepted to their dream program. I am fortunate to experience this quite a lot at mbaMission!

Before I joined mbaMission, I graduated with honors from Montclair State University in 2014, with a BA in English and concentrations in creative writing and journalism. My passion for all things creative led me to avidly pursue an internship at Nameberry, a popular baby-naming website, where I researched, wrote, and edited columns and content for three million monthly visitors. My contributions to Nameberry resulted in two freelance publications, one for the Huffington Post and another for New Jersey Monthly magazine, where I later obtained an assistant editor role via the company’s sister publication, New Jersey Bride. There, I pitched, composed, and edited content for the blog and print magazine. I also learned to spearhead the company’s social media campaign, managing all relevant platforms and helping increase site traffic by nearly 100%.

These days, when I am not at my desk, I am likely trying out a new recipe I found on Instagram, reading the latest novel (or working on my own), or adding a copious number of home improvement items to my Amazon cart.

If you are considering partnering with mbaMission to aid in your application process, I hope we get the chance to connect!
