MBA News: Wharton Mentioned on The Simpsons

Wharton grads can find themselves gainfully employed in widely different lines of work—even, perhaps, organized crime. At least that seems to be the case in a recent episode of The Simpsons, which Bloomberg Businessweek discovered this week. Notorious mob boss Fat Tony, seeking somebody to take his place for jury duty, turns to his accountant, who is, apparently, a well-qualified quant: “I’m just a numbers guy,” he tells Tony, “and the only reason I say numbers guy instead of Wharton MBA is I want to blend in.” You can watch the clip here (Wharton is mentioned at 2:40).
