It came as no surprise to those in the admissions world that essay questions about ethics began to materialize in the wake of the Enron scandals. MBA programs were chastised for creating analytical machines, who could find the narrowest profit, but couldn’t tell right from wrong. Well, Queen’s University (Business Week’s #1 ranked international MBA) is not just teaching MBA students to make ethical decisions, but it is also trying to teach them about the consequences of not acting ethically — taking students on field trips to prison. We can’t imagine a more powerful lesson….
