Today, we focus on\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gsb.stanford.edu\/faculty-research\/faculty\/margaret-neale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Margaret Neale<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><em>from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB).<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>One former GSB student described\u00a0<strong>Margaret (Maggie) Neale\u00a0<\/strong>to us at mbaMission as \u201csomewhat intimidating\u201d but quickly added, \u201cI love her teaching style! She pushes each student way out of their comfort zone to make them a better negotiator using whatever style is appropriate for the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Neale\u2019s research is based on the psychology of conflict and negotiation. She was appointed the Adams Distinguished Professor of Management in 2012 and serves as faculty director for two of Stanford University\u2019s executive programs\u2014Influence and Negotiation Strategies, and Managing Teams for Innovation and Success\u2014and as co-director of the Executive Program for Women Leaders and the High-Potential Women Leaders Program. In 2011, she became the 13th recipient\u2014and first woman\u2014to be presented with the business school\u2019s Davis Award, which is bestowed upon a faculty member for lifetime achievement. More recently, Neale was chosen as a Robert and Marilyn Jaedicke Faculty Fellow for the 2017\u20132018 and 2018\u20132019 academic years. Neale has been a professor emerita since 2019 but continues to teach at the school\u2014during the 2019\u20132020 and 2020\u20132021 academic years, she has taught the \u201cManaging Groups and Teams\u201d course.<\/p>\n<p>A first year described Neale to mbaMission as \u201cwonderful, legendary,\u201d and continued by saying, \u201cShe\u2019s been around the Stanford community for a long time. She is very popular, engaging, and friendly. If you have the opportunity to take a class with her, you should.
