Cameron Anderson<\/strong>, who received his PhD from UC Berkeley in 2001, came to Haas from New York University\u2019s Stern School of Business in 2005. He has received the Earl F. Cheit Award for Excellence in Teaching at Haas seven times and was also named a Bakar Faculty Fellow in 2010. Anderson is currently the Lorraine Tyson Mitchell Chair in Leadership and Communication II as well as the Management of Organizations Group Chair<\/p>\n

A second year described Anderson\u2019s \u201cPower and Politics in Organizations\u201d course to mbaMission as \u201ceasily one of the most sought-after classes at Haas.\u201d Another second-year student we interviewed said the class \u201cteaches students how to gain power and influence people without formal authority\u201d and added that Anderson\u00a0\u201cteaches applicable skills based on academic research and case studies of great leaders from history. He uses assignments to force students to uncover their own tools of influence and develop strategies for acquiring power in our immediate careers after Haas.\u00a0I think his class is popular because it\u2019s academic, directly applicable, and introspective all at once.\u201d<\/p>\n
