Each Wednesday, we profile a standout professor as identified by students. Today, we profile Campbell Harvey<\/strong> from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Multiple students interviewed by mbaMission described Campbell “Cam” Harvey<\/strong> (\u201cGlobal Asset Allocation\u201d and \u201cEmerging Markets Corporate Finance\u201d) as an \u201camazing\u201d professor, and one second year remarked, \u201cHe alone should give Fuqua a place in the top ten as a go-to school for finance.\u201d Another second year we interviewed had not yet taken Harvey\u2019s class but noted, \u201cHe has spoken numerous times about the financial crisis, which was extremely helpful.\u201d Harvey has published more than 100 scholarly articles, is editor of The Journal of Finance<\/em> and serves on both the board of directors and the executive committee for the American Finance Association. His hypertextual finance glossary\u2014which includes more than 8,000 entries and 18,000 hyperlinks\u2014has been covered, linked to and cited by the New York Times<\/em>, Forbes<\/em>, Bloomberg, the Washington Post<\/em>, CNNMoney and Yahoo. In addition, Harvey coauthored the book version of The New York Times Dictionary of Money and Investing<\/em>, published in 2002, with Pulitzer Prize winner Gretchen Morgenson. An alumnus mbaMission interviewed said that Harvey was \u201cone of the best professors I had,\u201d adding that he is \u201cvery tough, very brilliant, and very good at explaining things.\u201d<\/p>\n
