Each week, we bring you a chart to help you decide which of the schools\u2019 strengths speak to you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The end of the academic year spells relief for students of all kinds, but those in business school know how to cap off the spring semester with comedic flare. As highlighted by <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessweek.com\/articles\/2013-05-14\/mba-follies-an-end-of-semester-laugh#r=nav-r-blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg Businessweek<\/a><\/em> this week, students across various top-ranked business programs take part in the annual tradition of MBA Follies\u2014writing, directing and performing sketches that capture the quirks and idiosyncrasies of their respective institutions and of MBA life at large.<\/p>\n<p>Follies sketches are often posted on YouTube, so we thought taking a look at which 2013 productions are garnering the most acclaim might be interesting. As of today, Wharton\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6VU9wRG6kAs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cMBAs Assemble a Malm Bed from Ikea\u201d<\/a>\u2014which envisions Wharton, Stanford GSB, Kellogg, Harvard Business School (HBS), Chicago Booth and INSEAD students trying their hand at Scandinavian furniture assembly\u2014seems to be taking the lead, with more than 43,000 views (of course, Wharton\u2019s large class size might have something to do with that). A trailer for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZqOglXrnL2w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the HBS parody of <em>Mean Girls<\/em><\/a> is the runner up, with nearly 2,500 views. Columbia Business School offered a spoof called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bDqMmVPDTQo&amp;list=PLfRAJl8kTzZC8qR8j0l_r7a1y4Lrre3Od&amp;index=9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cThe Munger Games,\u201d<\/a> with nearly 2,000 views, which depicts MBA students competing for the chance to work under Berkshire Hathaway\u2019s vice chairman, Charlie Munger. Cornell Johnson\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dciRscxddvw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cRecruiting with Bain\u201d<\/a> (a play on the homophonous Batman villain) seems to be neck and neck with NYU Stern\u2019s rap music video\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OuUDSMX8nhY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cZacklemore.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Other sketches that have surfaced on YouTube include Michigan Ross\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CeidV0Vkevw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cTerry Tate: Office Linebacker,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0UVA Darden\u2019s nod to Dos Equis with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LHYdwH4dpeQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cThe Most Interesting Man in Business School,\u201d<\/a> MIT Sloan\u2019s globetrotting trailer for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hiB7ErE8bY4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cWhere\u2019s Rod?\u201d<\/a> and a number of sketches from Chicago Booth students, not least of which is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TJBwseURLfE&amp;list=PLNkLM4PHBCWojzQChHq3yZTijd61333vF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cAdmit Weekend at Bernie\u2019s.\u201d<\/a> Popularity might not be the best measure of humor, but we think it is probably best that these aspiring comedians will have an MBA to fall back on.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12020\" title=\"MBA Follies\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mbamission.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/MBA-Follies.png\" alt=\"MBA Follies\" width=\"100%\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mbamission.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/MBA-Follies.png 580w, https:\/\/www.mbamission.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/MBA-Follies-300x250.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Although quantifying a school\u2019s profile certainly does not tell you everything, it can sometimes be helpful in simplifying the many differences between the various MBA programs.
