Today, we profile\u00a0<strong>Edward Altman<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0<\/em><em>New York University\u2019s (NYU\u2019s) Leonard N. Stern School of Business<\/em><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10121\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" title=\"Nouriel Roubini\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mbamission.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Nouriel-Roubini.jpg\" alt=\"Nouriel Roubini, NYU Stern\" width=\"185\" height=\"209\" align=\"right\" \/>Nicknamed \u201cDr. Doom\u201d and more recently \u201cDr. Realist\u201d by CNBC for his negative predictions regarding the economic crisis, <strong>Nouriel Roubini<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cInternational Macroeconomic Policy\u201d)\u00a0came to NYU Stern in 1995. Considered an expert on economic indicators and emerging markets, Roubini is also the chairman and cofounder of Roubini Global Economics, a strategy research firm whose Web site, www.roubini.com, has been named a best economics resource by the<em> Wall Street Journal<\/em>,<em> Forbes<\/em>,<em> The Economist<\/em>, and<em> Bloomberg Businessweek. <\/em>Roubini has written extensively on the European debt crisis for such publications as the <em>Financial Times<\/em> and CNBC, and he regularly appears on <em>Real Time<\/em> with Bill Maher. A second-year student noted in a 2010 Stern Admissions Forum, \u201cNot surprisingly, Roubini is a very popular professor.\u201d His course \u201cInternational Macroeconomic Policy\u201d is a general introduction to macroeconomics.
