It seems Wharton is the word on everyone’s lips this week—including “America’s finest news source,” The Onion. In an article headlined “BREAKING: Daniel Throwing His Life Away, You Should Call Him, He Dropped Out of Wharton—Wharton, For God’s Sake,” the satirical news organization levels a heap of nagging worry at one disheartened Whartonite who decided to jump ship. “Look, this isn’t Stern, this isn’t Kellogg,” the article chides, “Daniel got a full ride to Kellogg and he turned it down for Wharton and now he’s, what, throwing it all away?” After the recent clamor over its declining applications and the resignation of Ankur Kumar, Wharton can take solace in knowing that The Onion still considers Kellogg and NYU Stern a step down.
