MBA News: B-School Applications on the Rise

For the past three years, business schools across the board have seen a slump in applications. According to Bloomberg Businessweek, however, the 2013 admission cycle may see a significant surge that could break this trend. Already, half of the MBA programs that are ranked in the top ten have reported increases, including upticks of 12% at Cornell Johnson, 11% at UVA Darden, 10% at Chicago Booth, 9% at Kellogg and 8% at Michigan Ross. Although this news looks promising for the value of the degree, very likely, applicants will be facing greater competition than in recent years.
