MBA News: Chicago Booth Moves Asia EMBA to Hong Kong

In a press release on Wednesday, Chicago Booth announced that it will be expanding its footprint in Asia by relocating its Asia Executive MBA Program from Singapore to Hong Kong in 2014. With the planned construction of a new campus, the Hong Kong program is expected to introduce new research, entrepreneurship, remote teaching, custom executive training and alumni events to Southeast Asia. Citing the development of a strong alumni base in the region, Dean Sunil Kumar commented, “Expanding into Hong Kong allows us to have impact on future leaders in business and build new corporate relationships in North Asia as well, complementing our activities.” Although the new executive program may not affect full-time MBA students directly, it represents a significant advance in the school’s global engagement and growing international network.
