MBA News: Recruitment Prospects Looking Strong for 2013 MBAs

The Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC), the organization responsible for administering the GMAT, is reporting some upbeat findings in its latest survey of 201 recruiters worldwide. The survey shows that recruiters for 2013 graduates are planning increases in both hiring opportunities and salaries. Up by 7% from last year, this year, 76% of employers report that they plan to hire MBA grads in 2013, and between 55% and 64% of respondents said they plan on increasing base salaries for new recruits, tracking inflation or in some cases rising above it. GMAC suggests that prospects for summer internships also look promising. Maybe we are not that far off from the days of MBAs receiving multiple offers?
