Beyond the MBA Classroom: TG(IF) at Kellogg

When you select an MBA program, you are not just choosing your learning environment, but are also committing to becoming part of a community. Each Thursday, we offer a window into life “beyond the MBA classroom” at a top business school.

TG—an abbreviation of the longer abbreviation TGIF (aka “Thank God It’s Friday”)—is the name of a popular weekly social event at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, hosted by various campus clubs throughout the year. Held in the school’s atrium, TG is an opportunity for students to wind down the week with beers and appetizers and to interact with professors and members of Kellogg administration in an informal atmosphere. The event attracts primarily first-year students, but second years are known to occasionally make an appearance as well.
