MBA News: New York Times Sees Application “Slow Down”

The New York Times reports on b-school application trends, noting that GMAC’s most recent survey shows that application volumes are flattening. Early this month, mbaMission founder Jeremy Shinewald speculated that MBA application volumes at top MBA programs just might fall, given a challenging job situation and reduced loan availability. Unfortunately, the GMAC data is not parsed by school, so we don’t know whether the top 15 have been affected or not. This story should seep out throughout the year, and we will be following it….
