The Quest for 700: Weekly GMAT Challenge (Answer)

Yesterday, Integrated Learning posted a 700 level GMAT question on our blog. Today, they have followed up with the answer:

Answer: C

Explanation:

At the end of January, the tea house has 120 pounds of green tea (40% of 300).  During the month of February, it purchased an additional 200 pounds of green tea (25% of 800), meaning that it had 320 pounds of green tea out of 1100 pounds of tea all together.  At the same time, it sold 210 pounds of green tea (35% of 600), leaving at the end of the month 110 pounds of green tea out of a total left over 500 pounds of tea, and 110 is 22% of 500.
